Keeping Alveley Safe – Speed Monitoring on the A442

Today, PC Loftus and PCSO Leek has been out on the A442 in Alveley conducting speed monitoring as part of our commitment to road safety. Speeding is one of the main causes of serious collisions, and we’re working hard to keep everyone safe on our roads.

✅ What we want you to know: Speed checks are taking place in response to community concerns and to support the national NPCC campaign on road safety.

✅ How we want you to feel: Reassured that your local Safer Neighbourhood Team is listening and taking action to reduce risk and improve safety.

The survey is in response to some concerns raised by residents within the area, regarding the perceived speed of some vehicles and in line with the local Policing Charter.

All data is collated and sent to our Roads Safety Team and shared with Parish Councils.

Speed surveys are conducted at various times and days, throughout your local area by the designated Safer Neighbourhood teams in conjunction with Parish Councils

If you have any concerns or questions please direct them to your local parish councillors whom can then liaise with ourselves.

At this time all vehicles were driving in accordance with the speed limit .
