Local Priorities Road Safety Issues Update |

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Road Safety Issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. Concerns have been raised by residents about excessive speeding on Grainger Drive in Apley. Today, 9th February 2026 a speed survey was conducted on this road whereby 75 cars were observed with a mean average speed of 24.7mph and no cars had exceeded the speed limit. While this is a pleasing result, we will continue to monitor the traffic and take action where possible.
