BBC Comic Relief Ride Through Malvern |

|
Yesterday, I had the honour of accompanying Radio One's presenter Greg James as he cycled through West Mercia Policing area and more importantly Malvern, on day three of his 1000km challenge on a tandem bike. I joined them at Ross On Wye and left them at Droitwich. I was tired after doing just over 40 miles, but that was only half of the distance for that day for Greg. For a man on a heavy tandem bike, he had a good pace on him (even up those killer hills). The amount of people out on the roadside lining the route was absolutely amazing and I don't think there was a gap of more than 30 seconds where I didn't see someone cheering him on. Thank you to the people of Malvern who were very well behaved (so I didn't have to stop my bike to deal with anyone and have to try and catch him up again). I had my own support team with PC's Molly Smith and Dee Stanley who were my support team and assisted with traffic management.
