📅 This week, officers from Malvern Safer Neighbourhood Team have been out across the district supporting Operation Sceptre, the national campaign focused on tackling knife crime and keeping our communities safe. 🔪Knife crime in Malvern remains very low, and we’re committed to keeping it that way through prevention, education, and strong community partnerships. 🔹 What we’ve been doing this week 🔹 🏪 Retailer visits - Officers visited local stores to ensure responsible knife sales, reinforce age‑verification processes, and offer guidance on best practice. 🏫 School talks - We delivered sessions to pupils on the dangers of carrying knives, the law, and how to make safe choices. 🧥 Plain‑clothes patrols - Targeted patrols took place in key areas to identify suspicious behaviour and gather intelligence. 👮🏻♀️ School patrols - Officers were present before and after school to provide reassurance and engage with young people. 👮🏻♂️ Foot patrols - High‑visibility patrols were carried out in parks, town centres, and transport routes to maintain visibility and community confidence.
🔹 Keeping Malvern safe 🔹 Operation Sceptre is about prevention, education, and early intervention. Your support and engagement help us keep knife crime low and ensure Malvern remains a safe place to live, work, and visit.
