Community Alert From Your Local Policing Team - Residential Burglary

We are appealing for information following a residential burglary that occurred in the early hours of Thursday 28 May 2026, between 03:00am and 03:30am.

The incident took place at a residential property in Barons Mead, where offender(s) have used force to gain access to the premises via the front door. Offenders left the premises when disturbed by the residents. Enquiries are ongoing, and officers are conducting patrols in the area to provide reassurance.

We are keen to speak to anyone who:

Was in the area at the time and noticed anything suspicious

Has CCTV, doorbell cameras, or dashcam footage covering the timeframe

Saw any suspicious individuals or vehicles, particularly in the early hours

Even the smallest piece of information could assist our investigation.

We would like to remind residents to take a few simple steps to help protect their homes:

Ensure all doors and windows are securely locked, even when at home or upstairs

Use exterior lighting or motion sensor lights to deter offenders

Consider installing CCTV or video doorbells where possible

Avoid leaving valuables in view from windows

Keep keys and car fobs out of sight and away from doors and windows

Make use of timer switches to give the impression that someone is at home
