Another warm week bringing us well and truly into August.

Lots of 999 (Grade 1) calls have been coming into the police this week, and I have been out helping response. I have been attending these all across Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport. These included Assaults, Domestic incidents, Neighbour disputes and Mental health concerns. 

In our patch I have been dealing with Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) completing risk assessments with people which are then recorded and assessed by our Prevention Hub.

I was out in the earlier hours of Tuesday (7th) to visit a Homeless male, with the councils Homeless Team. This was to try and identify this male and support where possible. The Homeless team are great, they offer support around food and water but also housing. 

I have been out and about conducting some patrols but unfortunately due to being called away to jobs and Wednesday being filled with multi agency meetings you may not have seen me as much. I do like to be out and about and can frown when I have lots of meetings but I do understand the importance of them. Working with other organisations, to help the people who need it and ascertain the best way to work with some high intensity service users.

Today I came on duty early to see the amazing officers and retired officers start their bike ride for the COPS UNITY TOUR.

The ride began at our Hindlip HQ and covers 200 miles over the next 48 hours. An amazing feet for the great charity. Care of Police Survivors (COPS), is a charity dedicated to supporting the families of officers who have lost their lives while serving.

Before they left HQ, on their adventure, a short service was held which brought to life the importance of this charity and the amount of families effected across the UK. 

Wishing them all a safe and amazing time.

This has inspired me slightly so with the weather getting slightly cooler, at times, I will be trying to get out and about on my bike. Hopefully I will be able to send some photos of this in my next end of week post.
