Golden Valley

Your Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Worcestershire.

Issue: Speeding / Road Safety. You said: This is a priority for the next 3 months, based on resident feedback, and ongoing local concerns. Issued 30 June 2026	We will: Conduct regular speed enforcement and engagement activity in our main hotspot locations of Clehonger, Peterchurch, Madley, Tibberton, Ewyas Harold, Dorstone. We will: Ensure officers are visible in areas of heightened concern. We will: Look to use our Community Speed Watch Volunteers to support with increasing visibility. We did: Conducted speed enforcement in the villages of Clehonger, Dorstone, Ewyas Harold and Longtown. Multiple vehicles recorded with the vast majority travelling at or below the 30mph speed limit. One vehicle stopped for excess speed with words of advice provided once their documents were confirmed as being in order. Actioned 26 July 2026
Issue: Rural Thefts You said: This is a priority for the next 3 months, based on resident feedback, crime data and ongoing local concerns. Issued 30 June 2026	We will: Conduct patrols in Hotspot locations for Rural Thefts. We will: Complete home visits to residents & businesses to support with Crime Prevention advice and activities. We will: Mark your property, including garden equipment, mark and register bikes, property mark tools. We will: Support you to set up Neighbourhood Watch Schemes. We will: Be contactable for advice on Security. We did: Ensured that a visible police presence was maintained throughout the Golden Valley area by making regular patrols in marked police vehicles around as much of our road network as possible. We made post theft reassurance visits to the few unfortunate persons who had been victims of acquisitive crime and offered security advice in addition to Smartwater to these people. We visited Dorstone church following a recent renovation and offered security advice. We offered free property marking to anybody interested in receiving it. Actioned 26 July 2026
