Kington and Weobley

Your Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Worcestershire.

Issued 30 June 2026	We will: - Conduct speed enforcement on high-risk routes within the safer neighbourhood area and other areas identified by residents as a concern. - Inform and educate road users in respect of legislation governing the roads, using pop-up events, social media and Neighbourhood Matters. - Target individuals suspected of committing offences using the road networks and take positive action to address this. Issue: Anti-social behaviour You said: This is a priority for the next 3 months, based on resident feedback, crime data and ongoing local concerns. Issued 30 June 2026	We will: - Deal robustly with people committing anti-social behaviour, making use of available legislation and civil orders. - Ensure officers are visible in areas identified as of heightened concern to divert offenders and prevent harm. - Educate members of the public around anti-social behaviour, using pop-up events, social media and Neighbourhood Matters. We did: - High-visibility foot patrols carried out across Kington and Weobley - Addressed an ASB issue in Eardisley, along with partners from Stonewater Housing. Issued 30 June 2026	We will: - Provide a wrap-around service for all rural burglary victims within the safer neighbourhood area, providing crime prevention advice and resources. - Deal robustly with poaching offences and wildlife crime offenders making use of all legislation available. - Educate and inform members of the public around aspects of rural crime via pop-up events, social media and Neighbourhood Matters. We did: - Carried out a reassurance visit to the victim of an attempt burglary at their home in Weobley. Crime prevention advice was also offered. Actioned 01 August 2026
