Speeding and Anti-Social Driving (ASD)

*1. Targeted Speed Enforcement and Traffic Operations - Police will carry out regular speed enforcement operations in identified hotspot locations using speed detection equipment (TruCam) and patrol vehicles. Offenders will be dealt with through education, warnings, fixed penalty notices or prosecution where appropriate. This will help to improve road safety and deter dangerous driving.

*2. High-Visibility Patrols in Problem Areas - Neighbourhood and Roads Policing officers will conduct targeted patrols in areas affected by speeding, excessive noise, racing, wheel-spinning and other anti-social driving behaviours. These patrols will be intelligence-led and focused on times when issues are most prevalent.

*3. Community Engagement and Information Gathering - Police will work closely with residents, local businesses and partner agencies to identify concerns and gather intelligence regarding offending vehicles and individuals. Community reports will help direct enforcement activity, while engagement events will provide opportunities to educate drivers and promote safer road use.
