Shrewsbury Rural North and District

Your Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Worcestershire.

Police advised the public we will be completing targeted patrols of problem areas and Consideration is being given to facilitate civil interventions. Patrols mobile and foot of Pine Crescent / Callow lane due to reports of ASB , youths knocking and kicking doors of Bungalows, police have knocked doors, made enquiries and provided reassurance to residents of Minsterley . Foot and mobile patrols carried out in Bomere heath due to youths causing ASB to residents and issues at the school , residents spoken with and further contact with school in an effort to gain more information. Police have met up with Housing officer to deal with ongoing ASB reports at Meadowbout Way , residents spoken with , further enquiries made and a second visit planned with housing . Patrols conducted of Pontesbury and Minsterley due to ongoing reports of youths riding E scooters, off road bikes and illegal E Bikes, spoke to residents who keep seeing these bikes and are very concerned . 28/09/2026 at 18:30 foot patrol of Pontesbury play park area. AIO 28/09/2026 Patrol of BICTON village area. 10:00 patrols of Meadowbout way and attendance of 2 addresses completed along with Housing Plus to identify those responsible for causing ASB in the area , ASB letters in the process of being drawn up from Police in an effort to deter any further Nuisance behaviour. Mobile patrols conducted in the area of Bicton Village at 14:00 . 02/10/2026 Patrols conducted around the village of Pontesbury , Paly area, school green and surrounding village all quiet at the time of 16:30 hrs. 02/10/2026 at 16:00 Patrols of Minsterley, play area, orchid Meadow, Park Meadow and Callow cres , all quiet at this time. Patrols via specific addresses where potential dealing taking place, no vehicles or person seen , completed around 16:00 hrs. Patrols of Wray Drive also completed at 13:18 of todays date 02/10/2026 around the address where Closure notice has been placed and all quiet. To be visible, accessible and responsive Issued 30 June 2026	Maintaining a strong presence across our communities through high-visibility patrols, targeted operations and regular engagement opportunities in areas identified through community concerns, crime patterns and local intelligence. These patrols are designed not only to deter criminal activity and anti-social behaviour but also to provide opportunities for residents to speak with us directly about issues affecting their community. Community engagement remains a priority. Through police surgeries, Mobile Police Stations, community meetings and local events, we are committed to listening to your concerns and working collaboratively with residents, businesses and partner agencies to tackle local issues. We will continue to advertise and host police surgeries and mobile police stations to provide an opportunity for residents to meet us in an informal setting. These sessions allow you to discuss concerns, report ongoing issues, seek crime prevention advice and find out more about the work we do. We will provide regular updates on social media, Neighbourhood Matters and local meetings, we will continue to share information about policing activity, community issues, ongoing initiatives and successful outcomes.
