Dawley and Malinslee

Your Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Worcestershire.

Local residents have raised concerns regarding persistent incidents that are affecting community. Key concerns include: • Reports of anti-social behaviour in public spaces. • Increased calls for service and police demand. • Ongoing complaints from local residents. • Repeat incidents at the locations. • Community concerns regarding nuisance behaviour. Priority 1 Speeding Concerns in Horsehay Old Park Road has been identified as a local priority following ongoing reports from residents regarding excessive vehicle speeds and road safety concerns. For continued monitoring and enforcement activity to improve road safety and reduce the risk of collisions. Priority 3 Illegal E-Scooter Use Issued 01 October 2026	Following concerns raised by residents, the use of illegal e-scooters on roads, pavements, and public spaces has been identified as a neighbourhood policing priority. Reports highlight concerns regarding rider safety, anti-social behaviour, and the risk posed to pedestrians and other road users. The neighbourhood team will: Conduct high-visibility patrols in identified hotspot locations. Engage with riders to educate them on current legislation surrounding e-scooter use. Take enforcement action where offences are identified. Work alongside partner agencies, schools, and local communities to raise awareness of the risks and legal implications of illegal e-scooter use. Monitor reports and intelligence to identify repeat offenders and locations of concern. Residents are encouraged to continue reporting incidents to assist in targeting patrols and enforcement activity effectively.
